Paramo Vasco Jacket

Its good :

If you want a jacket that will keep you dry no matter how much you sweat, Paramo garments are great as they control condensation better than anything else. They are quite warm, but can be considered an advantage as you just wear less underneath. These two features makes this jacket ideal winter activities such as mountain biking, ghyll scrambling and mountaineering.

The hood is removeable- perfect for activities where a helmet is worn, and in use it has very good movement. You get arm vents for added venting and reflective piping for night-time mountain assaults. Outstanding freedom of movement in the sleeves makes this comfortable for climbing or biking., while the chest pockets take a map and are easily accessed while wearing a rucksack. If it is cold, then this is the ideal multi-activity jacket.

But:

The Vasco is very heavy at 882g: indeed, most jackets here are half that weight. Also it is very warm so altough it`s ideal in winter (as you just wear less underneath) in the summer it is too warm. The hood has a wired peak that is so small that it doesn`t really provide any benefit., and many other hoods are better.

You want a cold weather jacket that offers outstanding breathability and excellent features for a variety of activities.
